Resolve alerts without waking the team
Cordant monitors your services continuously. When something degrades, it correlates signals, checks runbooks, and acts autonomously. You get a full incident report, not a 2am page.
High p99 latency on payments-service. Connection pool exhaustion found. Increased pool size with runbook RB-042. Duration 3m 18s.
Auth service error rate 2.1%. Matching upstream DB read latency spikes. Checking slow-query log...
Queue depth on notification-worker crossed threshold. Scaled consumer group from 3 to 5 replicas. Self-corrected.
The incident loop
Cordant covers every stage of incident response. Here is the path from the first signal through resolution.
Correlate signals
Cordant pulls alerts from Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch, and other observability sources at the same time. Rather than page on the first threshold breach, it links related signals before deciding whether action is warranted. Noise a human would dismiss never enters the on-call queue.
Automated diagnosis
Once a real incident is confirmed, Cordant queries logs, traces, metrics, and dependency graphs to form a root-cause hypothesis. It follows a senior SRE's diagnostic path at machine speed. The diagnosis is recorded and auditable.
Execute runbooks
When the diagnosis matches a known remediation pattern, Cordant runs the relevant runbook step. Actions may include scaling resources, restarting services, changing config flags, rerouting traffic, or opening a database connection. Each action records its before and after state.
Escalate when required
If Cordant finds a novel situation beyond runbook coverage, or an action needs human authorization, it pages the on-call engineer with context already filled in: what happened, what was tried, and what is needed. The engineer makes a decision instead of starting the diagnosis.
Generate postmortems
Following each incident, Cordant drafts a postmortem covering the timeline, root cause analysis, contributing factors, and remediation steps. It follows your team's postmortem template, so human review takes minutes rather than hours.
Made for production operations
For teams where reliability is a business-critical function, not an afterthought.
Correlate every signal
Ingests APM, logs, infrastructure metrics, synthetic checks, and error tracking together. Stops alert storms from creating duplicate pages.
Runbook versioning
Runbooks stay in your git repository. Cordant reads, runs, and versions them beside your code. New changes deploy with the next merge.
Control every action
Set which actions Cordant may perform autonomously and which need human authorization. Controls apply per service and action type, and can change in the dashboard without a code deploy.
Record every action
Every diagnostic step and remediation action is logged with timestamps, input state, output state, and the reasoning behind the decision. Exportable to your SIEM or incident tracking system.
Incident feedback loop
Every resolved incident adds context for similar future incidents. Over time, Cordant handles more recurring operational patterns without manually adding runbook entries.
Roll back safely
Before a stateful action, Cordant captures the current state and defines a rollback path. If remediation causes unexpected downstream effects, it can undo the change immediately without human intervention.
Works with your existing tools
Cordant offers native integrations for your observability, alerting, and infrastructure tools. Setup takes minutes, not weeks.
